Joelson, the London law firm, has advised its long-standing client Clarion Events on the acquisition of Chinese event company Media 10 (Shanghai) Exhibition Company Limited from Media 10 Limited.
The acquisition secures Clarion Event’s place in the Chinese events market, and further contributes to an already strong global presence, now operating over 300 events in more than 40 countries worldwide.
The transaction was led by Corporate Partner Phil Hails-Smith, who was assisted by corporate solicitors Gayle Hawke, Kate Morter and Harriet McDonald, together with additional transactional support from our employment team.
Simon Kimble, Executive Chairman at Clarion Events commented “As always, Joelson went above and beyond for us and it was a pleasure to work with Phil and his team again”
Phil Hails-Smith said “We have worked with Clarion for nearly 15 years and we are thrilled to have been able to assist them with this transaction and the further growth of the business internationally”.

“Joelson helped us at a crucial time in our business as we took on our first investors. They supported us with introductions, useful advice and made handling all the practicalities of relevant transactions very easy. They were friendly and easy to work with as they understand the nature of start-ups. We’ll continue working with them as we continue growing.”
