Marilyn joined Joelson originally in 2002 as a Client Support Assistant in the Licensing, Gambling and Regulatory Team before taking a break in 2012 and re-joining the team again in 2016 as a Legal Assistant.
She has over twelve years’ specialist experience and deals with various applications for both individuals and premises pursuant to the Licensing Act 2003 and the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. These include applications for personal licences, temporary event notices, transfers, DPS variations, DPM variations, variations of premises licences, minor variations, new premises licences, sexual entertainment venue licences, explosives licences for the use of fireworks and wedding licences.
Marilyn also deals with applications for the use of tables and chairs on the public highways including new grants and renewals all across the UK.
