Licensing Fees

WE ARE REQUIRED BY THE SRA TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COSTS INFORMATION IN RELATION THE SPECIFIC SERVICES OUTLINED BELOW.

Our fees vary depending upon the nature of the application, whether it is contested, the number of applications undertaken and the applicable licensing authority. This is why we will communicate with you prior to undertaking substantial work and agree, in advance, a fixed fee or fee range with you. We will always advise you about any complications and discuss the potential impact on price before any additional charges are incurred.

Our typical fees are as follows:

Personal Licence	250
New Premises Licence/Full Variation	1,250 to 2,000 if no representations up to between £5,000 and £10,000 if representations are received
Minor Variation	600 to 800
Transfer of Premises Licence	500 to 1,500 (if no consent)
DPS Variation	250
TEN	150 to 250

Our fees will cover all of the work required including, where applicable, meetings, negotiations, the preparation of evidence and representation before a licensing sub-committee. If we ever charge by way of hourly rate these range from £75 to £310.

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as newspapers and local councils. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. In addition to our legal fees, common disbursements are:

Typical timings in respect of each application are:

New Premises Licence/Full Variation	28 days beginning the day after the application is lodged if no representation. Up to an additional 20 working days if representations are raised
Minor Variation	Up to 15 working days
Transfer of Premises Licence	Effective immediately albeit the police have 14 days in which to object
DPS Variation	Effective immediately albeit the police have 14 days in which to object
TEN	10 working days prior to the date of the notice. 5 working days prior to the date of the notice if a late TEN
