Beauhurst, the platform that tracks high-growth businesses, has produced The Unicorn Report, featuring the top UK companies worth over $1bn.
There were some interesting statistics produced in the report, including; three out of five UK unicorns are based in London and, on average, each company completed more than four funding rounds before reaching unicorn status.
We are seeing companies achieve unicorn status at an ever increasing speed and in the UK we currently have 16 active unicorns. It is suspected that there are other companies that have surpassed the $1bn valuation mark, but are not yet confirmed. These are referred to in the report as ‘invisible unicorns’.

“Joelson helped us at a crucial time in our business as we took on our first investors. They supported us with introductions, useful advice and made handling all the practicalities of relevant transactions very easy. They were friendly and easy to work with as they understand the nature of start-ups. We’ll continue working with them as we continue growing.”
