UK urged to break impasse on Brexit

The Brexit process is crying out for certainty. We must ensure that there is a transition period, and the easiest way to do this is to extend Article 50. Brexit is the biggest “demerger” the UK will see for a generation – and the uncertainty is doing business serious harm. A delay instead of a no-deal outcome is absolutely the common-sense step given the lack of time between now and the end of March to come to a sensible agreement that works for UK business. Perhaps an extension of the transition period would also be a fairly simple solution to the backstop as well?
