Joelson advises the founders and shareholders of Grwth on its sale to MNC

Joelson, the leading London law firm, has successfully advised the founders and shareholders of Grwth on its sale to MNC, a 30-year-old independent media agency. This deal accelerates Grwth’s vision of becoming the home of challenger brands.

Grwth was founded in 2022 by Jake Higgins and Joe Benn. Their two core services remain unchanged – venture investing and agency matchmaking. Grwth has achieved significant success so far:

  • 300+ challenger brands matched with the right agency partners
  • 50+ brands using our strategic advisory service and/or raised money via our network
  • 1 investment made at Series A through Grwth Ventures

A key opportunity that is evolving is their growth advisory offering, which will now be integrated into a comprehensive, full-funnel media buying service. This includes both digital and traditional channels.

The Joelson team have worked with Jake and Joe from the very beginning of the Grwth story from inception to the landmark moment and deal with MNC.  The Joelson team have worked closely with Grwth on all aspects of the business covering the foundational arrangements between the founders, establishing a fund structure and advising on its key strategic partnerships.

Joelson’s Corporate team, led by Phil Hails-Smith (Partner), with support from Sylvia Lau (Associate) provided strategic legal advice throughout the transaction. Their efforts were instrumental in structuring and negotiating the deal to achieve the founders’ goals. The deal underscores Joelson’s expertise in advising Founders, entrepreneurs and business leaders in the challenger brands space.
