Joelson advises on licensing for Vapiano Centre Point opening

Posted Monday 3rd December 2018

Joelson recently oversaw the licensing process for Vapiano, the leading Italian restaurant chain, ready for the launch of the group’s latest premises at London’s Centre Point on the 12th December. The Centre Point restaurant will become the chain’s eighth restaurant in the UK and is one of three new openings this year. The restaurant will be sited in the recently redeveloped Centre Point building on Tottenham Court Road. The prerequisite licence for the premises has been acquired with support from the licensing, gaming and regulatory team at London law firm Joelson.

Niall McCann, Licensing Partner at Joelson said:

“Joelson has a strong track record in the food and drink sector and Vapiano is a great example of a thriving, expanding operator. Joelson’s licensing lawyers worked with Vapiano on the licensing process, and we are confident that the new Vapiano Centre Point site will be a resounding success and we look forward to seeing it grow and succeed.”

Roberto Moretti, CEO at Vapiano said:

“The Centre Point restaurant at Tottenham Court Road will be our eighth site in the UK. Covering over 10,000 square feet with room for 320 guests.  With an outdoor terrace planned for spring facing out to Centre Point Square, and the iconic Centre Point tower – all part of the new piazza opening up as part of the redevelopment of the area. The licensing process is a vital part of the development of the site and the Joelson team were invaluable throughout”
