Posted Thursday 10th December 2020

Joelson, the leading London law firm, has advised Pageant Media as lead counsel on its acquisition of Falk Marques Group, an independent, boutique conference and media company.

The acquisition of Falk Marques Group complements the existing portfolio of Pageant Media, the global business information and events provider.

Falk Marques Group produces conferences and networking forums that are focused on advancing women in the private equity, venture capital and alternative investment communities. It lists the Women’s Leadership Unbound Summit and Women’s PE Briefs newsletters amongst its events and key collateral.

Joelson’s Corporate team was led by Partner, Phil Hails-Smith and supported by Associate, Gayle Hawke and Solicitor, Matthew Akehurst.

Charlie Kerr, Chief Executive Officer at Pageant Media, said:

“Joelson provided expert assistance and counsel throughout the acquisition process and managing the legal and commercial negotiations in the US. This deal enhances and expands the portfolio of Pageant Media and we are very grateful to the team at Joelson, led by Phil, for their critical eye and attention to detail in ensuring that the deal could be completed.”

Phil Hails-Smith, Partner at Joelson, added:

“We are delighted to have helped Pageant Media on this acquisition of Falk Marques Group. The deal represents a culmination of months of hard work and we look forward to continuing our relationship with Charlie and the team to help the business continue to grow and meet its ambitious targets. We have worked closely with Pageant over the last few years and it’s great to help them on their 2nd acquisition of 2020 acting as lead counsel again.”
