Joelson, the leading West End London law firm, has announced the promotion of Michael Friend to Partner, within the firm’s Real Estate team, effective 1 April 2024.
Michael joined the firm as a trainee in 2013 and has been integral to Real Estate and firm-wide projects such as B Corp and is highly valued by his clients.
Joelson now has 14 Partners across the firm’s Corporate, Employment and Real Estate groups and offers an extensive suite of legal services including Property, Corporate, Employment and Immigration and Litigation, to clients across many sectors.
This Partner promotion follows the recent lateral hire of Partner, Jonathan Bruck into Joelson’s Employment team in January this year.

Michael joined Joelson in 2013 as a trainee, qualifying into the Real Estate team in 2015. Michael advises on a wide range of commercial Real Estate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, financing and development as well as landlord and tenant work.
Michael also has extensive experience acting for operators in the serviced office sector.
Outside of the office, when he is not running around after his two young children, Michael enjoys watching his beloved Liverpool FC.
