Joelson walks 440km for The Brain Tumour Charity

Posted Tuesday 3rd November 2020

As we continue to support The Brain Tumour Charity this year, we decided to take on the Twilight Walk through the month of October to raise money.

This year the Twilight Walk went virtual, meaning that we were walking anywhere, any time in October to make up the distance to our chosen goal. We set ourselves a target of 150km to complete during the month and walked over 440km in total!

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world leading and largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. However, a pandemic hasn’t slowed the number of brain tumour cases and 102,000 people are currently living with a brain tumour. The impact can be devastating and research into brain tumours is still woefully underfunded. Survival rates are just 11% and treatments haven’t changed in 40 years.

Committed to saving and improving lives, The Brain Tumour Charity are dedicated to find new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change because when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour – a cure really can’t wait.
