Posted Monday 15th June 2026

Joelson, the leading London law firm, has advised the Founder and other shareholders of Studio Rotate, a London-based agency specialising in ecommerce, on its sale to Huge, an independent AI-native design and technology company.

Huge partners with some of the world’s most ambitious brands, and the acquisition strengthens its global ecommerce capabilities, establishing- and enhancing its  ecommerce capabilities as a core offering within its broader platform.

Studio Rotate comprises a team of senior ecommerce specialists with deep expertise in enterprise Shopify, composable architecture and AI-enabled delivery. As a long-standing Shopify Plus partner, Studio Rotate has established itself among the leading Shopify agencies globally and built enduring relationships with premium brands across the lifestyle, apparel and consumer sectors.

Following completion of the transaction, the entire Studio Rotate team has joined Huge and will continue to operate from London, supporting both existing clients and the wider Huge platform as it expands its global commerce offering.

Joelson’s team was led by Managing Partner, Phil Hails Smith and supported by Senior Associate, Harriet McDonald and Solicitor, Katie Braddell.

Jim Tattersall, Founder of Studio Rotate, said:
“Selling a business you have spent years building is a significant personal and professional milestone, and having the right lawyers supporting you makes all the difference. We’ve worked with Joelson for a number of years and the team have been fantastic combining  clear commercial judgement with a practical understanding of what matters to founders, helping us navigate the sale with confidence from start to finish.”

Phil Hails-Smith, Managing Partner at Joelson, added:
“It’s been a pleasure working with Jim and the team at Studio Rotate over the years as they have established Studio Rotate as a leader in ecommerce, combining technical excellence with a strong client offering. We are delighted to have supported and guided Jim on this transaction which brings together two highly complementary businesses, and we are delighted to have supported the team on this significant milestone.”
