Joelson, the leading London law firm, has successfully advised the co-founders of Two Chicks, the leading branded liquid egg white brand, on the sale of a majority stake to the Eurovo Group (“Eurovo”).
Two Chicks was founded in 2007 by Anna Richey and Alla Ouvarova, creating a new category in branded liquid egg whites and becoming the market leader in the category.
Two Chicks has been working with Eurovo, one of the largest European producers of eggs and egg products based in Italy, since 2015. In 2024, the Lionello run family business achieved approximately €1.25 billion in revenue and has a network of around 5,000 customers across 40+ countries. Eurovo is also the owner of the world’s largest free-range poultry farm, covering 25 hectares and housing 1.2 million hens, as well as organic, standard and barn hens. The Eurovo group maintains full control over the supply chain, guaranteeing high-quality, safe, and sustainable products for retail, food service, and the food industry.
Two Chicks is stocked in most major UK supermarkets, from Sainsbury’s and Tesco to Lidl. It also sells in global markets including France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates. The sale will allow Two Chicks to benefit from being part of a larger group with the resources and status to help the company grow. This will include expanding the product range and branching out into new and exciting areas, as well as bringing Two Chicks products to more customers overseas, building on its existing international presence.
Joelson have advised Anna and Alla and their shareholders on the sale of the majority stake in Two Chicks and their ongoing continued role in leading the business in partnership with Eurovo and their continued participation as shareholders alongside Eurovo.
The Joelson team, led by Phil Hails-Smith (Partner) with support from Emma Vantine (Associate) and Georgia Edmonson (Solicitor).
Anna Richey and Alla Ouvarova, Co-Founders of Two Chicks, commented:
“It was such a pleasure working with the team at Joelson on this transaction. They have been fantastic in guiding us through this complicated legal process and providing amazing support and pragmatic advice to ensure that we were able to create this partnership with Eurovo. Their reputation in the consumer space is well deserved and we would highly recommend Joelson to any founders in the Consumer Space.”
Phil Hails-Smith, Partner at Joelson added:
“We are delighted to have worked with Anna and Alla on this transaction. We pride ourselves on being the market leading corporate firm for founders in the Consumer space and this transaction illustrates those credentials. We are so pleased to have worked with a pioneering all female founding team who have created a category in retail and been able to successfully grow and expand in the UK and internationally. I’m sure this partnership with Eurovo will see the Two Chicks brand continue to go from strength to strength.”
