Lidl sued Tesco for trademark, passing off, and copyright infringement over the use of its blue and yellow logo. Lidl's concerns were that Tesco's Clubcard Prices promotion used similar colours and graphics to their branding, which could confuse customers and dilute Lidl's brand.
