Many UK visas allow for applicants to be accompanied by partners and family members for an additional fee. Partners and families of individuals already holding citizenship or indefinite leave may also be eligible for the Family visa, allowing them to stay for a period of 2 years and 9 months.

Most dependants are free to work for the duration of their visa but cannot be reliant at all on public funds, for example, they cannot claim social security payments.
